About Us

Kinderhook Elks Lodge — photo 1

Every Friday during Lent, the parking lot off NY-9H fills up early, and for good reason. The fish fry at Kinderhook Elks Lodge #2530 has earned a loyal following, drawing neighbors from across Columbia County who know the food is honest, the price is fair, and someone will hold the door for you on the way in.

Sunday mornings carry their own rhythm here. The Sunday breakfast is a weekly ritual for locals who want eggs cooked right and coffee that keeps coming, without the fuss of a full restaurant menu. It is the kind of meal that turns strangers into regulars after just one visit.

The Lodge's commitment to the community runs deeper than the kitchen. Each year, members organize the Prom and Luau for special needs adults, a celebrated event that draws genuine enthusiasm from participants and volunteers alike. That event alone tells you what this Lodge is about: showing up for the people who need it most.

What We Offer

Lodge #2530 hosts a rotating calendar of events and programs that give members and guests real reasons to walk through the door. The Friday fish fry during Lent is the anchor, offering a full sit-down dinner at prices that make going out feel like a smart choice rather than a splurge.

Sunday mornings bring the breakfast service, a compact but flexible menu where eggs come nearly any style you like, served alongside familiar sides in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Handicapped-accessible entry and ample off-street parking make it easy for everyone to attend.

Beyond the dining events, the Lodge provides a community hall for member gatherings, charitable fundraisers, and signature annual events. Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks opens the door to a national network of fraternal support, local volunteer opportunities, and a social calendar that keeps the year interesting.

"Their Sunday morning breakfast saves you from cooking. The menu is small but varied. You can have your eggs almost any way you want them. Poached eggs being the exception unless it's a special that day. Omelets can be 2 egg or 3 eggs with a variety of ingredients. I like the corned beef hash as my side or there are potatoes. Prices are reasonable and it's open to the public."
